Phillip F Brocato left this world too soon on May 4, 2003.  
This site is not only a tribute to Phil, but also a way to
provide educational opportunity to deserving people
through his foundation.  Phil was a hardworking and
brilliant scholar, a consumate athlete, a champion of the
disenfranchised, and a person who truly believed that
love for other human beings conquers all.

Phil referred to his pre-class/pre-work early morning runs
and cycling in Griffith Park as an opportunity to kiss the
morning sun.  That wonder and optimism is how he lived
his life and inspired others to achieve their potential.

                   PICNIC on Phil's Birthday
I was reminded recently that Phil would prefer
his birthday to be celebrated, not his passing,
so the picnic and run is rescheduled around
his birthday, September 29.  A Griffith Park run
will still be part of the picnic.
